Italian shores inspire Gucci Lido 2025 collection

A surge of espadrilles and denim, wicker and ocean wash, monogrammed swimwear, and nautical stripes has come to Gucci boutiques.
The Gucci Lido 2025 collection follows the conclusion of Sabato De Sarno’s two-year stint as creative director—marked with understated and timeless refinement—right at the cusp of a bold new era for the brand when Demna Gvasalia (professionally referred to as simply Demna) officially takes over next month.

Playful yet polished, the pieces evoke images of spending days leisurely at charming Italian lidos that spruce up the Mediterranean peninsula’s coastal shores. Time seems to slow down as a light breeze soothes the sun’s intensifying warmth, and the salty spray from the sea brings a delightful thrill. Light laughter laces through the air, follow by murmured conversations in a secluded cove.
The relaxed silhouettes and fresh hues of the sophisticated collection define the blitheness of the season, with its signature handbag lines reenvisioned in raffia, wicker, or crochet; accessories and sneakers awash in gradient blues; and stylishly cozy coats in deep tones.
